ISO 14001 transition (to 2015 version)

Course Objectives

This course is certified by the IRCA, and hence meets the training requirements for initial certification as an IRCA environmental management systems (EMS) lead auditor.

This training is to provide participants with the knowledge & skills needed to fulfill their role as a fully trained lead auditor of ISO 14001:2015 based environmental management systems.

The course includes the 2-stage audit approach for certification of the environmental management systems (EMS), in conformity with the ISO/IEC 17021-1 standard and aligned to the ISO 19011:2018, the guidelines on auditing management systems.

Target Audience

Managers, trainers, and consultants involved in an ISO 14001:2015 EMS transition,
individuals responsible for planning and implementing an ISO 14001:2015 transition, and
auditors seeking to attain the ISO 14001:2015 transition certification etc.

Target Competencies

Upon completion of this course, participants will be able to

explain the key changes between ISO 14001:2004 and ISO 14001:2015,
describe the new requirements in annex SL, (Appendix 2) relating to organizational context, leadership, planning, and support,
appreciate the significance of a risk-based approach, and
learn what needs to be revised in your current EMS.

Certification

Business Excellence's team will extend its full support in regards to the implementation of the documented management systems in letter & spirit. This may include SWOT analysis, process mapping, risk assessment, objectives and targets, RACI matrices, training need analysis & training plan, internal audit, corrective action, management review etc
